Using Lenz controller 3200 C to control ECS servo system

Lenz ’s tried-and-tested ECS servo system can now be commanded using a clock-synchronized EtherCAT interface. Incorporating the new L-force controller 3200 C for the central control architecture, even the most demanding motion tasks can be efficiently and economically solved in terms of the number of axes and accuracy requirements.

The ECS servo system provides a compact servo drive with high dynamic performance, which is necessary for motion tasks with the highest precision and speed requirements. They have been engaged in the special design of multi-axis applications in the central control architecture. The versatile system includes numerous options for shafts and power modules, which can be connected to form an integrated unit. ECS drives are fully matched to highly dynamic engines in the MCS range, but can also be effectively combined with other synchronous and asynchronous motors.

The L-Force Controller 3200 C has been designed for use in control cabinets and built on the energy-efficient Intel Atom® CPU. The integrated 48 Mbit / s backplane bus allows input / output (I / O) modules from the input / output (I / O) system 1000 to be directly side-mounted to the controller. The combination of short cycle time and minimum jitter time stamping ensures that the motion system also meets the most stringent speed and synchronization requirements.

"The integrated ECS ended in unison with us in an EtherCAT-based control environment, establishing an end-to-end product portfolio of central control architecture."
