The non-woven fabrics of the PM2.5 mask are formed by hot-rolling reinforcement. Therefore, it can be found from the three figures on the left that there will be a compact “flat pit” similar to the flattened on the non-woven fabric.

Among them, due to the different manufacturing processes of non-woven fabrics: Honeywell's non-woven fabrics are the densest and the "flat pits" are the deepest. The green shield's non-woven fabrics are the loosest and the "flat pits" are the largest and flat; EPC is between Between the two.

2. Static filter cotton

The electrostatic filter cotton is also one of the non-woven fabrics, and it is electrostatically charged after being subjected to electrostatic treatment after the production of the nonwoven fabric. This electrostatic force adsorbs particulate matter in the gas passing through it, and is the main combat force for adsorbing PM2.5 particles in the PM2.5 mask.

It can be seen from the high-resolution picture on the right side of the figure: EPC's electrostatic filter cotton is the most compact, but the morphology is not uniform, there are band microscopic and spherical fiber particles; the green filter's electrostatic filter cotton fiber is the most uniform, and the filter Cotton is also relatively dense; Honeywell is somewhere in between.

The three brands of masks have more functions when the performance of the three brands is similar in each layer:

The activated carbon layer not only can adsorb particulate matter, but also collects a certain amount of gas in the air. From the upper right part of the figure, it can be seen that there is a large amount of activated carbon on the activated carbon layer.

The thickened electrostatic filter cotton layer is very different from the previous electrostatic filter cotton layer, and the small amount of particulate matter that has leaked is adsorbed again to further filter the particulate matter.

Microscopic analysis can observe the invisible details of the naked eye, which is of great significance to the process control and performance morphological analysis in actual production and life. It is one of the important technical means in reverse engineering.

In addition to EPC's N95 mask, there are many other brands of PM2.5 masks with activated carbon layers on the market. They are basically five-layer structure. The most obvious difference is that the masks containing activated carbon layers are light gray, and the price will be A little higher than the mask with the filter level.
