Confectionery packaging application multi-cup yoghurt tray and cover concept

Recently, Amcor Softpack applied the concept of thermoformed trays and lids for multi-cup yoghurt to candy cans to provide Mars candy with a brand new packaging. This is the result of the company's assistance to Amcor Softpack for the use of a new hanging sales package. Amcor has inquired about many past packaging forms and packaging concepts and found that the multi-joint cup thermoforming trays and capping technology used in the dairy industry has never been used in the packaging of confectionery.

All progress has been relatively smooth. Mars Foods has very high requirements for external packaging materials. In order to ensure the safety of production, metal foil packaging is not allowed. Therefore, Amcor recommends the use of paper or polyester materials commonly used in the dairy industry as caps. Caps made from these materials have good barrier properties and are easy to open.
