Yangshuo Rock Climbing Guide - Thumb Peak

This peak is located on the side of the highway between Jin Maodong and Dabanshu, about 5 kilometers away from the county seat. There is no local name for it, because it has a very classic TRAD line on the left, and because it resembles the thumb, we call it the "Mingzhi Peak."

The peak height is about 150m. The left TRAD climbing route is about 130m high. It needs to be divided into five pitches for group climbing. The description of each pitch is shown in the table below. The route mainly climbs along several large cracks. The protection point can be used as a branch on the rock wall. Friends can use Rocks to do it in other places. Required basic equipment: seat belts, descenders, risers, iron locks, quick-hanging (at least 30), friends (more than one set), 60m master ropes (2 to 3 sets), helmets, and rope sets. If it is estimated that the day cannot be completed and you want to stay on the rock wall, you will need to bring a hanging account, headlights and enough to listen to food and water.

On the right side is the "Happy New Year" SPORTS CLIMBING area developed in 2001. There are 5 PITCH "Happy New Year" routes and 9 other routes, all of which are HANGER. Detailed description of each route is shown in the table below.
