Océ launches new UV hybrid inkjet printer

Océ launched its first Arizona 60UV hybrid inkjet label printer. As an initial product of the series, the Océ Arizona 60UV printer uses UV-curable ink to print large display images on hard and soft substrates. The new model introduced this time has platform and roll-to-roll printing capabilities and UV ink technology, and is sold at a lower initial mover price.

Arizona 60UV uses high-pressure printing technology and UV-curable inks to print outdoor durable signage, using the print system's hard-to-retract and lift-in surface, and operators can directly in no more than 60 inches (wide) by 96 inches (long) × 3/8 inch (thick) hard substrate prints on the surface. There is no easier way to print on uncoated solid substrates such as PVC styrofoam, plastic, plexiglass, and aluminum-plastic blends than with Arizona 60UV. Packaging materials up to 64 inches wide, such as banners, PSA vinylon, etc. can be printed.

The equipment is now in the customer testing stage and the product is expected to be delivered to European customers in the second quarter of 2004. Equipment and consumables prices will be announced later.
