Commercial and semi-commercial rotary offset presses have many additional functions, including drying, cooling, glazing, etc., to meet the requirements of commercial printing speed, mass, multi-batch, multi-level, personalized, high-end, color, etc. It is often necessary, but correspondingly, the paper path has been lengthened, and the consumption of paper for threading and debugging has been further increased.

High operating costs. Commercial rotary offset printing has relatively high performance requirements on machine parts, raw and auxiliary materials, and even lubricants. In addition, if additional functions are enabled together, the operating cost is very high. Therefore, the requirements for various aspects of management are also relatively high. Otherwise, even if the processed printed products are high value-added products, these attractive profits will be swallowed up by the consumption of commercial aristocratic offset printing operations.

After understanding the above-mentioned characteristics of rotary offset printing, scientific management should be carried out in order to achieve the purpose of saving paper. Two points should be checked in management. One is the warehousing clearance, and the other is the paper clearance. Whether entering the warehouse or printing on the machine, make a roll-by-roll count of the paper used on the machine according to the type and batch of prints to ensure that there are no missing or re-recording, accurate records, no fraud, paper warehouse management personnel and workshop Machines should regularly reconcile and supervise each other.

Each roll of the manufacturer's roll paper is marked with a weight on the outer packaging, but the weight of each roll is not exactly the same. It must be counted roll by roll before entering the warehouse and on the machine to ensure the accuracy of the amount of paper issued and used. Even if the roll paper is directly stacked in the workshop, the paper warehouse management personnel must register when the paper enters the field, and check with the paper management personnel in the workshop to sign each other on the other party's account. After the recipient has checked and registered in accordance with the regulations, the outer packaging of the paper roll shall be marked with the unique identification volume number prepared by the paper library management personnel according to the labeling standard, so that the next process can fill in the number when filling in other items.

The machine is continuously produced. After each printed product, the paper on the machine is rarely used up, and the remaining paper is unloaded and weighed before loading, which is both troublesome and not feasible. In the production process, a table is used for monitoring and continuous improvement of paper usage, that is, a paper input-output balance table. According to the situation, the situation in the paper input-output balance table should be summarized and analyzed on a monthly (quarterly / annual) basis, so as to find prone problems, find the causes, and take corresponding corrective and preventive measures.
