In the selection, use, and storage, pay attention to its characteristics, which can make production more efficient.

Selection of special paper

For the selection of paper, general printing houses have done a good job, but some special products still need to be understood. For special applications, it is necessary to select paper in a targeted manner.

(1) Blister products: When choosing paper, choose paper that can be blister. The surface strength of the paper is high but not too high, and the requirements for moisture are very strict. In printing, the ink must not contain silicone oil, paraffin, and cannot be sprayed Too much powder, otherwise it will cause problems in the subsequent process of blister.

(2) For the mounted products: it is best to choose the same variety of products, because their raw material ratio and production process are the same, the paper performance is the same, it will not be because this side is white cardboard, and the other side is white background The whiteboard paper is deformed after fitting, which affects the quality of the terminal product. It should also be noted that when the paper is thin paper on one side and thick paper on one side, the thin paper is easier to absorb water, and it needs to be treated differently when it is laminated.

(3) Gravure paperboard: choose paperboard with good flatness, small roughness, good smoothness and uniform density. Paper-making enterprises provide different grades of cardboard for customers to choose according to the printing method. Zhonghua Paper's products require grade G for gravure printing and flexographic printing; grade L for film transfer; grade Y for offset cigarette packs; grade A for general printing.

The most suitable is the best. In the purchase and use of paper, taking the policy of doing something and doing something will do more with less.

Unpacking and slitting

Unpacking: It should be noted before unpacking, it is best to adopt the principle of advanced first use, because the paper has a maturity period, it is generally best to use it within two months, during this time the paper itself needs an adaptation and balance Processes such as stiffness will increase, moisture will be more balanced, static will be smaller, and multiple indicators will tend to be relatively stable. Experienced printing plants also understand this. They commonly call paper with a certain storage time as cooked paper, which will be smoother during production. Imported paper has reached the equilibrium period due to its long road and long transportation time, and its better use also illustrates this point.

Slitting: When slitting the paper, it is required to first check the unpacked paper for any entrainment, and ensure safe operation. Do not drop gloves, pens, etc. into the paper.

The cutting knife should be as sharp as possible, so that the paper produced has no burrs and less paper scraps, and it is not easy to produce white spots when printing. The four corners of the cut paper should be perpendicular to the bisector, and there should be no deflection. The size of each stack of paper should be the same. The cuts should be neat, without knife flowers or tears, and the knife will not cut through. The individual edges of the paper are connected with fibers, which are more or less hard torn apart. During the transportation process, it is not easy to cause the paper edge to curl up, or the individual paper is hardly rubbed and rolled up due to the convenience of moving the paper around the direction of the stack And layering, which caused the printing to destroy the blanket.

The cut paper cannot be used immediately, so it is necessary to mark it well to avoid confusion. At the same time, papers of different specifications or different threads and different front and back sides should be stacked separately, and they must be marked so that they cannot collide and be properly placed.

After the paper is unpacked, it should be cut and printed in the short term as possible, because environmental effects will deform the paper, especially when printing multiple times on a monochrome machine, more attention should be paid to protection, and some printing factories will carry out the next process for a long time. , Simply wrap the PE film for protection, or take other measures, as long as it can prevent the paper from changing its original shape without being affected by the environment.

After unpacking the paper, pay special attention to avoid direct sunlight for a long time or one side, so that the water content drops sharply and causes deformation. In addition, prolonged exposure is likely to cause changes in the hue of the cardboard, because the color stability of some pigmented paper will change under direct sunlight, and it will also cause the paper to become hard, brittle, and yellow, resulting in early "aging". Printing cannot be used, causing waste.

Printing process

In paper production, due to the impact of the headbox, the fibers are arranged more in the longitudinal direction, and the horizontal interweaving is relatively less. In this way, the longitudinal shrinkage of the paper is less, and the transverse direction is relatively larger. At the same time, the wrong silk direction will also affect the final box making and the effect of making the box wide, so you should pay attention to the silk direction when using it.

Most printing plants use straight-wire printing, the paper has a small chance of elongation, and the deformation in the transverse direction is large when the paper is compressed. Especially when the paper contains a large amount of water, the deformation will also increase after being compressed.

Control the amount of water used in printing, and use as little water as possible, as long as the water-ink balance is achieved to avoid poor print quality.

The printing factory should pay attention to the temperature control when processing the paper after printing. This is mainly because the temperature during glazing should be moderate and not too high, otherwise it will be easy to produce ink burst or burst.

Save

The storage area needs to be hygienic, dry and ventilated, protected from light and moisture or sun and rain, especially the folded paper stacks should be placed away from the floor mat and not close to the wall to prevent poor ventilation and damp.

The stack of the roll paper should not be too high, and it must be placed upright to prevent crushing the edge of the paper or the core of the roll, and to damage the cylindricality of the roll paper.

It is best to control the temperature and humidity at the production site. If there are no conditions, try to avoid opening the door to the production as much as possible, especially in rainy days. Especially for coated paper, it is easy to mold due to moisture, and the coating peels off. Of course, it is most ideal if the temperature can be controlled at 20-25 ° C in summer, 18-22 ° C in winter, and 55% to 65% humidity.

Although paper is not as sensitive to temperature as humidity, but when the temperature exceeds 38 ℃, the mechanical strength will be significantly reduced. Coated paper is also very easy to cause the paper to stick to each other, so that the coating peels off and cannot be used.
