2 Results and Discussion

2.1 Comparison Experiment of Photodegradation Test Methods

Five different formulations of photodegradable incineration plastic samples were subjected to simultaneous light for 5 days. The results were compared between the photodegradation high-pressure mercury lamp aging test and the xenon lamp light source exposure test. The experimental results are shown in Table 1.

From Table 1 and Table 2, it can be seen that the high-pressure mercury lamp test method and the xenon lamp light source exposure test method are almost the same (with a linear relationship). It shows that although the two kinds of illumination conditions are different, the destruction of polyethylene mechanical properties is similar, and there is a certain corresponding relationship. Based on this experimental result, in the production of formula adjustment, using a homemade artificial accelerated aging high pressure mercury lamp test method alternative photodegradation arbitration test method - xenon lamp light source exposure test method to control the quality of the production process.

However, once there is a change in the photosensitizer or inspections must be sent to the relevant statutory departments, the company will find a more economical and practical method for quick screening of formula screening, routine testing and market surveillance.
