Developed a new type of waterborne polyurethane coating

Japan has recently developed a paint for protecting and decorating glass. Coating it on glass can prevent splintering that occurs when the glass breaks, and its coating film has excellent scratch resistance, alkali resistance, and appearance. The paint consists of a polyol compound (for example, polytetramethylene glycol, trimethylolpropane, etc.), an organic polyisocyanate (for example, dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, hexamethylene diisocyanate, etc.) An alcohol (e.g., triethanolamine), a chain extender (e.g., ethylenediamine) epoxy resin, and/or a modified melamine resin is an aqueous polyurethane coating.
