Temperature and humidity
Store the temperature of the self-adhesive warehouse as far as possible not to exceed 25 ° C, preferably around 21 ° C. It is especially important to note that the humidity in the warehouse should not be too high and stay below 60%. There is no condition to temporarily put a dehumidifier in the warehouse to reduce the humidity of the warehouse. Of course, the constant temperature and humidity control device is a long-term and effective measure.
Temperature and humidity control at the processing site is equally important, and paper self-adhesive materials are very sensitive to humidity. Hot melt adhesives are more difficult to process at higher temperatures.
The damp environment in summer is the culprit in the moisture on the surface of the object. When the surface of the object is damp, the label that is attached is inevitably tilted due to being separated by water vapor.
The labeled product is placed in a damp environment, and the exposed label surface must absorb moisture and become long and wrinkled.
If the inventory of the product after labeling cannot be controlled by temperature and humidity, you can consider the moisture-proof varnish or film treatment of the paper label.
Inventory time
The stock time of the self-adhesive material should be as short as possible. Master the principles of first-in, first-out, and backward-in and out.
Pay special attention not to use in the wrong season, summer materials are used up in summer, and winter materials are used up in winter.
Do not open the outer closed packaging in advance, and when to open the machine. Materials that have not been used up and materials that need to be processed in the next process after printing should be repackaged and sealed in time.
Glue selection
For some labeling surfaces that are relatively large, it is possible to use labels that are used at high temperatures for a long time in the summer. Or if it is exposed to sunlight for a long time during transportation, it should be avoided to use a hot melt adhesive type sticker.
Because the characteristics of the hot melt glue is: the initial viscosity is large, and the glue characteristic curve shows that the viscosity of the glue will not rise after 4 to 5 hours of labeling. The viscosity value after 4 to 5 hours is not much different from the initial viscosity value.
When the ambient temperature exceeds 45 ° C, the viscosity of the glue begins to decrease. The reason is that the cohesive force of the glue is reduced and the fluidity is enhanced.
When the self-adhesive material is die-cut in summer, when the ambient temperature is relatively high, the hot-melt adhesive material is more difficult than the water-adhesive self-adhesive material. This is because the hot melt draw is longer than the water draw, and the glue backflow combines faster.
In the summer, the drawing phenomenon is more pronounced due to the enhanced fluidity of the hot melt adhesive. When the die-cutting waste is used, the glue layer is not completely cut off, the wire drawing is obvious, and the waste is marked. Therefore, when using hot melt adhesive tape for printing processing in summer, the temperature of the site is controlled as much as possible at 21 ° C to facilitate the processing of hot melt adhesive materials.
Initial viscosity
Since the fluidity of the glue in summer is particularly good, the initial viscosity of the sticker is converted to the final viscosity much faster than in other seasons. The product that needs to be relabeled after labeling, the shorter the labeling time is, the easier it is to uncover and replace it.
Frozen food
For the operation of frozen food after labeling, it is necessary to clearly understand the three elements of labeling using stickers:
a. Minimum labeling temperature: The temperature of the surface of the frozen object to be labeled in summer must not be lower than the lowest labeling temperature indicated on the technical parameters of this sticker.
b. Initial stickiness: the stickiness of the label when it is just pasted. Depending on the roughness and surface energy of the surface of the different objects, the label of the newly applied label has different viscosities, but it is not the true viscosity of the glue.
c. Final stickiness: After the label is applied for 24 hours, the glue is converted from the initial tack to the final tack to the (use temperature range). The final tack is the true tack of the glue.
The above three elements indicate that the labeling is above the allowable temperature range. After labeling, there must be a period of time from initial viscosity to final viscosity (must be above the allowable temperature range). Products that have just been labeled cannot be used immediately in an environment below the minimum labeling temperature. It can only be used within 24 hours after being used in the use environment (the time can be shortened appropriately in the case of high summer temperatures).
