Denmark launches direct printing platemaking equipment

The Danish company Bradford demonstrated the traditional plate-making equipment directly at the International Printing Exhibition (IPEX) in Birmingham, UK.
After 10 years of research and development of this equipment, Drupa meeting in May 2000 has exhibited experimental prototypes, and conducted a live demonstration. This exhibition demonstrated the first finished production model. This device uses fiber optic technology to solve the problem of laser light source focusing, and uses a line-by-line exposure method to record information on the plate. Because the traditional PS plate requires high-intensity exposure under ultraviolet light, and at the same time, in order to compensate for the speed problem, the equipment is connected to a line processor, and a continuous process is used for the plate material production process.
