Many carton manufacturers have the problem that when die-cutting a carton, there has been such a quality failure phenomenon: in the case that the machine, die-cutting plate, corrugated board thickness, and die-cutting pressure are all constant, When the beer box board of the same specification is converted into another type of cardboard box during the production process, the edge of the longitudinal indentation line (parallel to the corrugated sheet) of the platen is often burst, and all the burst marks are inner paper layers. The layer of paper inside the box is generally made of cardboard or kraft paperboard, but the carton is a package of low-grade products. Considering the production cost and maintaining proper packaging, corrugated paper is used in the paper layer of the carton. Because the toughness of corrugated cardboard is not as obvious as cardboard or kraft paperboard, the length of cracks during indentation is also not regular, generally ranging from 30mm to 80mm. In this regard, if the die-cutting pressure is reduced or the indentation grooves on the iron plate are not used, the indentation line is not clear enough. This not only affects the rapid molding of the paste box, but also tends to cause the deflection phenomenon. Production efficiency will be adversely affected.
In view of this situation, we feel that there are two main reasons for causing the corrugated board to burst after indentation:
The first reason is that the fiber has poor fiber toughness and strength, and the paper is brittle;
The second is that the corrugated board has a certain thickness, and the paper is "sinking" overly small during the indentation.
Because the corrugated cardboard is placed on the platen during the indentation, the distance between the paper and the surface of the platen on the top of the corrugated file is about 3.5mm, and the inner layer of paper is almost in the “floating†state. Then, the machine presses At that time, because the indentation knife's corresponding part of the paper has a linear sink after pressing, it changes shape, resulting in cracking. The smaller the “sinking†surface of the paper is, the more likely it is that the edges will crack. This point can also be instructed by the principle of cutting things with a thin knife, such as the thinner the knife edge, the easier it is to cut things. It can be seen that in the case where the paper strength is poor, the “sinking†surface of the paper layer in the corrugated cardboard corresponding to the indentation line must be slightly larger, so that the cracking phenomenon is unlikely to occur.
After analyzing the reason, we immediately put a sponge with a width of about 8 mm and a length corresponding to the indentation knife on both sides of the indentation blade on the die-cut plate corresponding to the burst crack. The height of the sponge is flush with the indentation blade. In this way, after the die-cut plate is pasted on the sponge strip and pressed together, the die-cutting blade and the sponges on both sides of the die-cutting plate simultaneously sink the corrugated cardboard. Because the “sinking†surface of the paper is large, no cracking phenomenon appears on the edge of the cardboard indentation line, which ensures the die-cutting quality of the carton product.
