Foaming Causes and Remedy

1. There are various reasons for laminating bubbles:

(1) There are many reasons involving printing materials, printing layers, printing film, film properties, adhesives, temperature, pressure, and process operations.

(2) If the roller surface of the laminator is uneven, it will cause foaming of the film.

If white patches appear on the surface of the printed product after the film is coated, the area is not large and the position is relatively fixed. Basically, it appears regularly within a small area. If it is not carefully observed, it is often considered as a white spot on the ink layer. After inspection, it was found that the surface of the rubber roller had different degrees of depression, and the plating layer on the surface of the heating roller also had some damage. Causes localized contact failure and causes film lathering.

2, to eliminate the fault is : replace the problem rubber roller, boot, observe the film test. The blistering phenomenon of the coating film on the depressed portion of the original rubber roller was found, but the blistering of the printed film corresponding to the damaged position of the plating layer on the surface of the heating roller still exists. To eliminate blistering completely, only remove the heating roller and re-plat the roller surface.

Due to the long maintenance time, the production lead time will be affected. At this time, it was observed that the plated layer on the surface of the roller was damaged to the side of the printed product. Therefore, it was decided to shift the side gauge on the laminator slightly outwards so that the plated layer on the roller could not be pressed at the place where the printed product was damaged. Film surface, on the machine test, blistering disappeared.

Various kinds of failures may occur during the production process. Careful observation and comprehensive analysis are the basis for solving problems. For operators, the most effective way to prevent failures is to do a good job of equipment maintenance and maintenance, and strictly follow the rules when operating, so as to prevent accidents.
